Wait Wait..... Don’t Tell Me
On February 28, 2009 show Mo Rocca had to apologize to all the angry Ravelers for saying “knitted sweaters are always itchy.” His apology went something like this, “Last week I used insensitive and inflammatory language including the “I” word to describe homemade sweaters I sincerely regret offending anyone even if there is an explanation. You see 20 years ago when I was an exchange student in Kito I stayed with a host family of alpaca farmers. The Garcia family was never less than gracious their home was small so I was forced to bunk with there teenage son Chicho and so for month afterwards I couldn’t stop scratching myself. None of this makes my recent comments any less offensive, so please accept my apology.

Ravelry.com received a shout out for the group of knitters that has agreed to join together and knit Mo Rocca a sweater which on the show he agreed to model whatever sweaters were sent to him! On the Ravelry group it looks like the knitters will be presenting the sweater on April 9th so tune in to NPR!!!
